I should probably know this since going through the stupid merger when AOL bought Time Warner back in 2001...

Since AWA is traded on the NYSE but UAIR is not, with the new stock be traded on NYSE or would they have to go play on the NASDAQ for the 5 year period? Not that big of a deal, but I was just thinking if they were left on the NYSE - that we would probably see the return of "U" finally.

Could be either....

From one of the investor agreements:

"The shares of New Common Stock to be issued to Investor under this Agreement shall have been authorized for listing or quotation, as applicable, on the New York Stock Exchange or NASDAQ Stock Market upon official notice of issuance."

I presume, however, that since America West will be the surviving corporation and they trade on the NYSE, that's where the new stock will trade barring something happening to get them delisted.
