Houston police say that an armed man’s attempt to stop a carjacking went terribly wrong on Saturday night when he shot the vehicle’s owner in the head, then fled the scene.

Nowhere in ABC's version of the story is it mentioned that the owner was shot, and the comments in the KHOU version seem to allude that their story needed to be updated with what really happened, i.e. an initial assumption was made that he was shot, but his injuries were actually due to being beaten by the carjackers. Comments in the ABC version come back around to the KHOU version that the owner was shot.

Either way, the guy who intervened may have ultimately saved this guys truck from being stolen.
