It has also been an interesting few days watching some of the new colour films coming out of hiding that were shot during WWII. the history channel had some great stuff on that and some significant Canadian battles such as the Scheldt. Jack Whyte, their bard and best-selling historical author has a couple bits on the Scheldt and St. Julien Woods makes you appreciate what we have today.
