Time To Straighten Up And Fly Right

It is easier for Chiames to blame the employees rather then anyone in management accept the fact they failed.

We're not the only airline that was ever in bankruptcy.

SpinDoc replies:

No. And despite being one of only two airlines
(US, CO) to be in BK twice, US does not hold the
distinction of being in BK the longest.

That title belongs to UA. Heck, UA might stay
in BK another 2 or 3 years if they can get away
with it. Sure saves them a lot of cash when they
don't have to pay all of their bills.

Midway II (not to be confused with the original ML who filed in 1991) was only bankrupt once -- their 2001 filing was converted from a Ch.11 reorganization into a Ch.7 liquidation during 2003. They never exited. Plus, for the sake of this argument, the conversion took place 2 years and 6 weeks after the original filing.

I added the bolding... PITBull appears to be talking about more than airlines. But, PITBull might be right.
