FACT:

As a matter of LAW, PILOTS of US Airways, Inc. are a separate entity, from the PILOTS of America West Airlines, Inc. until the TRANSITION agreement is agreed to by ALL PARTIES. PERIOD.

FACT:

As a matter of LAW, THE AIRLINE PILOTS ASSOCIATION has a legal attorney/client relationship with US Airways as the bargaining representative for EAST pilots. As such, by failing to agree to terms in the transition agreement, the arbitrators award fails to attach AS A MATTER OF LAW if the legal representation is terminated.

FACT:

US Airways total pilots on 2007 seniority list: 4693

AWA total pilots on 2007 seniority list: 1893

FACT: EAST pilots control %80 to %85 of revenue, all of the E190's, all of the international flying, all of the wide bodies, all pilot hiring through the recall process, all of the BOS, LGA, DCA, PHL, PIT and CLT domiciles. Follow the numbers, follow the money and then follow the POWER.

FACT:

The company knows this.

FACT:

The company has extended single certificate action until later this fall. Straight from Ed Buler. Operationally, the company can and now will extend single certificate action indefinitely (or up until a time where it proves to be to their advantage, which ever comes first. EAST separation from ALPA is a good incentive for the company to operate separate certificates if, for example, card check action is instituted.)

FACT: Amercia West Airlines, Inc. is a wholy owned subsidiary of US Airways Group, THE SURVIVING LEGAL ENTITY AND STRUCTURE. Just like the other wholy owned carriers.

FACT:

The Transition agreement keeps both "pilot groups" separated until all three parties agree to the transition agreement.

FACT:

ALL pilots in the 517 will not vote or accept any agreement attached to the arbitrators ruling. This is not an opinion because they will have the most to lose when (not if) the next airline merger occurs.

FACT:

Most pilots (if not all, depending of the changes in the FAA NPRM for age 65) in the 517 will have the option to fly to age 65 and will be amended to allow affected pilots between 60 and 65 to return to their previous position.

FACT:

You can quote ALPA merger POLICY (operative word) at length, but there are so many loopholes in the Transition agreement (and ALPA merger policy and Constitution) that EAST can never meet West.

GUESS WHAT?

FACT: LOA 93 IS THE PREVAILING CONTRACT ACCORDING TO THE COMPANY (and now the EAST pilots), AS A MATTER OF LAW UNTIL AT LEAST DECEMBER 31, 2009.

EAST pilots are flying LOA 93 and so will the furloughed pilots that come on line from recall. The airline now has every opportunity to get EAST pilots to fly WEST equipment (and they will). For the company, Parker has a fiduciary duty to maximize shareholder value. NOTHING ELSE.

If no one has thought of these facts before, guess again. THESE EVENTS WILL COME TO PASS NOW!

OPINION:

The damage to ALPA as a result of this ruling has created a rift between the EAST and ALPA National that it is too late and too large to keep the EAST pilots in line with the National union interests.

Every ALPA union in group A, (United, Delta, Northwest, Continental) HATE us for LOA 93. Every pilot on the EAST side will be affected forever if they agree to remain in ALPA as a result of this agreement. EVERY PILOT IN GROUPS B, C AND D NEED TO RE-EXAMINE THEIR AFFILIATION WITH ALPA IF THEY DON'T THINK THIS RULING (read POLICY) DOESN'T AFFECT THEM!

EAST PILOTS WILL NOT BE BRIBED BY ALPA ASSURANCES ANY LONGER!!!

ALPA NATIONAL LOST YOUR PENSION, YOUR PROFIT SHARING, YOUR CONTRACT AND NOW THEY WANT YOUR SENIORITY. A POUND OF FLESH IS TOO MUCH. IT IS BETTER TO RULE IN HELL THAN SERVE IN HEAVEN!!

IF YOUR OPINION IS THAT THE EAST PILOTS ARE NOT UNIFIED ON THIS ISSUE, YOU NEED TO COME OVER TO THE EAST CREW BASES, ATTEND EAST MEETINGS AND FLY/JUMPSEAT WITH EAST PILOTS (ESPECIALLY WITH THOSE IN THE 517) TO GET RE-EDUCATED.

ALPA NATIONAL'S TRUE COLORS ARE NOW UNVEILED!!!

Do they want a short term loss of East pilots dues but a long term goal with the destruction of US Airways, so as to help THEIR Group A companies and leverage their bargaining power? YOU BE THE JUDGE (for a change)!!!

In Short....they sacrifice the tactical short term dues loss, but win a stratigical long term destruction of US Airways. TIME IS ON OUR SIDE!

The US Airways MEC is now in LOCKDOWN mode. I now KNOW for a FACT that every EAST pilot will FLY OVER the WEST pilot group as a result of the TRUE COLORS OF ALPA NATIONAL and their scheme to drive a wedge between the EAST and the WEST pilot group. WEST pilots are National pilots. MAKE NO MISTAKE!

Remember, if US Airways, Inc. fails, and the resolve of the pilot group at Delta was instrumental in preventing the ACQUISITION (NOT A MERGER WITH) of Delta Airlines by US Airways, then this is ALPA national payback to get our groups to deepsix the company.

EAST PILOTS: PLEASE CONTINUE TO DO YOUR JOBS PROFESSIONALLY AND TO THE BEST OF YOUR ABILITIES. US AIRWAYS IS A GREAT COMPANY AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE A GREAT COMPANY. DON'T "TAKE ONE FOR THE GIPPER." BRANIFF, EASTERN, PAN AM PILOTS FELL FOR THAT BS!!! DON'T YOU!!! DON'T LET PARKER'S MONEY CLOUD THE REAL ISSUES BEFORE YOU! LOA 93 HAS NO "ME TOO" CLAUSE IN IT REGARDING WHAT MANAGEMENT DOES. SAVE THAT ISSUE FOR THE NEXT CONTRACT.

US AIRWAYS IS NOT YOUR ADVERSARY! ALPA NATIONAL IS!!! THIS AWARD WAS A POLITICALLY ENGINEERED TACTIC BY ALPA NATIONAL, NOT BY US AIRWAYS. GROUP 1 PILOTS WANT OUR COMPANY TO FAIL SO THEY CAN HAVE OUR JOBS. PERIOD. DON'T LET ALPA TAKE YOUR JOBS. THE POWER TO CHOOSE IS IN YOUR COURT. THERE IS NOW NOTHING LEFT TO FEAR!!!

You forgot one fact

Fact, US airways is a wholly owned subsidiary of US airways Group....
The company has said that they could run two piolt groups with two cba's if needed.. How does that change the need for the " Power" you speak of
 
Elimination of automatic payroll deduction for ALPA Dues - Done!

P.S. If a pilot elects to not have his or her ALPA dues paid by payroll deduction then he or she must pay them when invoiced to remain in good standing, which may be necessary in the future.
