Ok, I know that most of this is not news, but any opinions on how the final details might or might not win the ATSB over? If they get the short term financing, and make it past the payments that are coming due shortly, I think bankruptcy could definitely be avoided. And if the business plan listed in the filing with the ATSB is followed, then UAL should emerge as a very healthy, very strong carrier in the next couple of years.
Just my two cents. I am rooting for all involved.

Captainron says; there is reason to believe that the loan application meets all of the stated criteria required by the ATSB. The past several weeks have included direct dialog with the ATSB, Tilton would not resubmit if in his mind the application would not be approved. Look for an expedicted approval in the next two weeks.

ohcaptainron,

I'll drink to that! Let's hope your info is accurate. I think Tilton is a shrewd businessman. I honestly feel he is the right kind of leader to turn us around. Now I just hope we can avoid bankruptcy.
