United becomes first in U.S. to fly 'awesome' Boeing 787 Dreamliner

10:20AM EST November 5. 2012 - United Airlines flew into the aviation history books yesterday, becoming the first U.S. carrier to fly paying passengers on Boeing's new 787 Dreamliner.
The sold-out flight – United Flight 1116 – departed Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport at 7:20 a.m. CT before touching down at 9:47 a.m. CT in Chicago.
Aviation enthusiasts, United employees, journalists – and even a few regular passengers – were among those on the history-making flight.

Congratulations to UA! Was this 787 a plane that CO ordered or was it a UA-ordered plane?

Kudos to whomever @ UA reached out to that Tony-AA-platinum-customer and got him on the flight.

UA has an advantage and they should use it. Hard-core.
