US Airways Announces $500 Million DIP Financing Agreement and $240 Million Plan Sponsor Equity Inves

My bet is Mighty Joe from Hannibal Mo. (Dave) discovered that he was about to sell his soul to the devil. (Circa Damn Yankee's) Anything that equates to more money up front..with less offered in a hostage scenario is good. I have liked the history that the TPG brought to the table...but thier asking price Vs. what they were offering up front? Well to say the least...It stunk to high heaven

If my memory is correct, doesn't RSA hold paper on about $340 million worth of US Airways F100's? Maybe that aspect factors into this deal.

P.S. Gilbertguy,

How about Daisy Duke in lieu of Daisy Mae?

What i think this proves without a shadow of a doubt? Not one soul on this board has any idea what is happening or will happen!!!!!!!! lol

US AIRWAYS BANKRUPTCY NEWS editor Frauline Sinson-Abangan says her jaw dropped when USAir told Judge Mitchell it opposes taking a $240 million check from The Retirement Systems of Alabama in favor of a smaller amount from Texas Pacific Group. I've never seen a debtor reject a higher and better offer before, Ms. Abangan commented; I think USAir is going to have to give a better explanation about why the Texas Pacific offer is superior.
