What's new

US Airways Center

thanks for the link, that is indeed a good article.

I look forward to one day going to USAirways Center

USAirways has to pay for the new signage and advertising for the naming rights but yet they still don't have money for a new signed contract or 90 kva on the pads outside the hangar.

You know that's from a different budget...........LOL

Wonder if they are going to move the AWA History stuff from corporate to the arena??? I heard that there was going to be a tribute to AWA's history. Nice, in my opinion.

And just think what they did when they were the official airline of:
Disneyland
Disneyworld
both Disney's
then it was:
Sea World of San Diego
then:
Universal Studios CA
Universal Studies CA and FL
(I think they sponsored the Igloo in PIT for awhile too)
then:
the BWI center for which I can't even think of their name. That is where us had a box and offered truck pulls, monster truck rallys and WWF tickets as sales incentives to their employees (on your own time, get your own hotel, transportation is your responsibility, food and tips are not included either) your prize is the privilege to sit in the usbox. Welcome to your new uscenter!
Be careful what you loan out, some people won't take care of it, especially if it digs into their profits. They don't take care of anything except their own personal wallets. In my own opinion of course.

Now we have something to show United and American Airlines !!!

I think it'd be neat to see a nascar in the new US Airways livery.
There used to be a US Air Arena in Baltimore area or may be closer to DC but what happened to it?

It was the old Capitol Center in Landover, MD, it closed down and the bullets now wizards and capitols moved to the MCI Center in DC.

Piedmont had a car and Terry Labonte won a Winston Cup Championship with it and later on US had the US Airways car but that team sucked.

Budget for signage but not budget for the mechanics!
