Anybody know how much it cost to file a BK for a corp this size? How much was paid for the last BK filing? Just curious
$839.00 to file a Chapter 11 in the Eastern District of Virginia.

" $839.00 to file a Chapter 11 in the Eastern District of Virginia."

It's not the filing fee that get's you, it's those lawyers, etc.

According to the company's financial reports, for the BK we spent $61 million in 2002 and another $51 million in the 1st quarter of 2003 on "professional fees".

I fully agree. I was just answering the question asked.

The company can not do a voluntary Bankruptcy like 2002.

So.....

In September the co. has to pay the pension liability. Even if we concede to freeze pensions...the company HAS to make the payment. If we give all the concessions in China now, the savings won't show up until sometime next year.

There is only one way there is a BK filing, and that's forced by a creditor.

They're all in on this conspiracy, for sure...

I know a debtor cannot file a second Chapter 7 for six or seven years, but I wasn't aware of a limitation on Chapter 11 as long as the previous bankruptcy had been judicially resolved.

PM me if ya need to, but what am I missing?

So the company has spent $112 million in professional fees?? Is this correct???? And they want $116million from flight attendants. Is this correct???

Don't want to come across as ungrateful...just trying to figure out the facts.

Also, would like to know what the Union spent on our special anaylist to determine where we really stand. Does anyone have these figures??? I know of a whole lot of flight attendants who pay dues every month. Could someone give use the break down?? I know for myself, that I don't get any emails on this. And yes, I am signed up.

kt,

Let me put your mind at ease....all of the negotiation fees are paid by the company...specialist down to the negotiating committee. AFA will not spring for these types of concessions...past or present.

All flight attendants pay union dues..., so do the reps. Why do you keep bringing that up?
