NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- JetBlue Airways Corp. (NasdaqNM:JBLU - News) said November traffic rose 78.2% to 624.6 million revenue passenger miles from 350.5 million a year earlier.
A revenue passenger mile is one paying passenger flown one mile.
Load factor, or percentage of seats filled, was 79.3% for the month, compared with 78.3% a year earlier, the carrier said in a press release Friday.
For the 11 months of the year to date, JetBlue said it flew 6.08 billion revenue passenger miles, up 111.2% from 2.88 billion a year earlier.
Load factor for the year to date was 82.7%, compared with 77.8% a year earlier.
Shares of JetBlue closed Thursday at $38.42, up $1.17, or 3.1% on Nasdaq.
