Won''t work, All that will do is destroy the airline.
Now if the entire industry shut down for a couple of days that WOULD get their attention. At this time though that is unrealistic. Not impossible though. Of the 634000 pilots in the US, only 147000 are Airline transport rated. There may come a time when all 147000 decide to take a couple of days off all on the same day.
Of that 147000, I would guess that only 120000 are current, and probably another 10000 or so are over age 60 (Retired).
So the question is, How bad does it have to get for 110000 pilots to decide to park the whole country?
