UTC Aerospace Systems has received a contract with British carrier easyJet to supply the wheels, carbon brakes and MRO support for the 68 new Airbus A320ceo aircraft.
Under this deal, UTC will deliver the equipment through its landing systems facility in Troy, Ohio.UTC engineering and maintenance head Ian Davies said: "We are very pleased to continue our long-standing relationship with UTC Aerospace Systems who has supported our fleet since 2003.

Is that A320 "ceo" or "neo"?  In any case, good to see some manufacturing happening here in the U.S.  rather than in China.  Of course, I'm assuming that UTC Aerospace will actually manufacture these parts, and not contract out the actual building to some company in China.

 ceos

Oh, ok.  Thanks.  Airplane model designations are not my strong suit.  Isn't there an Airbus that has the Neo tag?  Or, am I just imagining that?

nope you are right

ceos are the current gen. V2500 or CFM56-5A or CFM56-5B powered. (or PW6000 on the 318)

neos are next gen powered by the PW1000G or LEAP-X engines.

Also the 330 is going to have a NEO model (RR Trent 7000 powered) call the A330-800 or A330-900.

These airplanes just happen to be CEOs.

personally I think the names are stupid. I miss the good old days when they started at -100 and went up. Now we have NEOs, CEOs, MAXs, NGs, Xs, -8s, -9s, -10s, -1000s....... OEMs are simply getting to cute and constantly trying to kiss ass in marketing to get orders.
