I just confirmed it with my Base Chair, Julia Carrigan (BOS) by phone who is in DFW and she said Tommie Hutto-Blake will officially become APFA President this evening. Please go to APFA for an updated hotline tonight.

It's about time! Now does this mean she gets extra time added on to the end of her term since she started late? Curious minds want to know.
Congratulations THB, justice is served! :eye:

No the DOL said she should be installed and serve out the time remaining.

After a bit of stalling, the resolution to install THB was passed unamiously I believe. Reports indicate that JW was gracious, and received applause for his years of service. Reports also indicate there were as many TWA F/As there as nAAtives. Fancy that. It seems ALL acted quite professionally despite circumstances. Does THB have some agenda for the TWA F/As? Not that I have ever heard of. However, she has come out saying she would like to extend furlough recall rights for all which certainly made her more positive in the eyes of some. Like the bumper stickers "Anybody but Bush", it seems the TWAers wanted "Anybobdy but Ward."

I live for the day when I can stand on the otherside of the cart and say "John I need Ice"

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS TOMMIE!!!!!!!!!!

BYE BYE john, juan and linda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guess it's time for you all to work 14 hour days, no crew meals and 8 hour layovers!!!!!!!

I sent Tommie an e-mail on jetnet (i hope she reads it) I asked her to abolish the Order of the Perpetually Trip Removed. I also asked that she include certain TWA flight attendants in her administration. I think it is time to have fresh ideas.

I even Suggested that Nancy McGuire be one of those. I have been impressed with her demeanor and her ideas.

I also asked Mrs. Hutto-Blake to do everything in her power to unit the membership. I think it is paramount.

You mean to tell me that JOHN WARD did not slay everyone in the room with his death ray laser vision, shoot lightning bolts from his ass across the room to the ones who managed to escape, and conjure up his younger brother Satan to wreck havoc and pestilence to the entire membership, and act anything else but professionally? as some people here would like us to believe he is evil personified, this is quite shocking!!!!

That was the only reason keeping me away from Dallas today, and now you're telling me John Ward acted "professionally"???
Tom Ridge raised the threat level color of the day to RED just for this event and you're telling us it went down peacefully?

dammit! and I stayed home and missed the circus?
Now, Mr. Chamberlain, that ain't fair! =)

There were about 20 AA and 20 TWA F/As in the audience at the meeting in DFW. Only 20 AA F/As bother to show? And probably 19 of the 20 TWA F/As had to fly in!
