Woman files lawsuit against AMR because passenger next to her masturbated while she slept

A 21-year-old Harris County woman filed a $200,000 lawsuit against American Airlines alleging employees on a flight to Los Angeles from Dallas/Fort Worth Airport failed to protect her while she slept from another passenger who masturbated to her and ejaculated in her hair, according to a lawsuit she filed last week in Tarrant County.

The Harris County woman alleges employees knew of the risks associated with failing to “police the passengers to ensure that passengers do not hurt one another,â€￾ the suit states.

Airline officials did not return calls seeking comment. In a statement to a Houston television station last year, a spokesman said the company regretted the incident, but the flight crew took appropriate action.

The woman and her lawyer could not be reached for comment. The Star-Telegram does not identify victims of sexual crimes.

Destined for a Spring Break visit with family and friends March 19, the woman flew from Houston to DFW Airport and had settled into her seat for the last leg of flight 2074 to Los Angeles about 11 p.m., the suit states. The woman slept most of the flight, but awoke about 20 minutes before landing when the pilot announced the plane was on decent into Los Angeles. When the woman opened her eyes, she saw that an unknown man had moved into the seat next to her and was staring at her as he masturbated, the suit states.

The woman turned toward the window in embarrassment and in an act of nervousness began to run her fingers through her hair where she noticed “a substantial amount of an extremely sticky substance in her hair,â€￾ the suit states.

The woman began to cry and tried to get the attention of a flight attendant, but was unsuccessful, the suit states. Finally a passenger in the row in front of the woman comforted her and verified the semen in her hair, the suit states.

When the plane landed, employee called airport police and the man was arrested.

The suit alleges that the during the investigation, American Airlines employees told police they witnessed the man move from his assigned seat into the row where the woman was sleeping.

The woman is seeking punitive damages and a jury trial.

Ok, ewww, and just . . . EWWW!

Good Grief. If she reported it to a FA and they did nothing then I can see her point. AA can not be responsible for every god damn thing that happens on a freaking flight. God for bid the lady actually sue the sick SOB responsible. No money there so go after the airline. Sad part is AA will probably settle just to shut that b1tch and her troll lawyer up.

Not been a good day. Sorry if this post offends someone. Feel free to hit the 'back' button.

Why the apology? I agree with you. It doesn't seem as though she was that frantic or a FA would have stopped it. She either enjoyed it or it was her boyfriend and it's a big scam.

People sue for anything Garfield. It's America. That's why your insurance rates are through the roof. Some turd lady out here is suing an Atlantic City Casino because SHE gambled and lost $1 million. She, of course, is an ambulance chasing lawyer known for her 9/11 and 587 lawsuits.

I can't remember the last time I was this disgusted by airline employees behavior. Or a response like the one above.

This woman had to get help from a passenger as the flight attendants ignored her?
How totally filthy does behavior have to be for any airline employee to actually DO something?

Would it still warrant no action if the female was an 8 year old unaccompanied minor?
Obviously.

This , and these moronic replies from the obvious sewer class , sickens me. This is the calibre of the so-called humans the airlines are hiring today? People who might probably find the whole thing enjoyable?

I hope she owns AA when this is over. And the FA"s should be fried. Not fired, fried. Every one of the pathetic idiots.

Skymess? Boy, does that fit.

Should've been waving a copy of People,US or Cosmo, would've gotten the attention of every flight attendant on board...

Saw the man move but failed to take any action? She wins.

She wins BIGTIME.

And rightly so.

And a few crew members will never fly again.

Good !

And all AA costs will be deleted from the salaries and benefits of decent employees.

What in the world are you ranting about? There is nothing illegal about changing seats. The crew obviously did not see what he was doing. She caught him in the act and stayed in her seat for heavens sake! I feel bad for her but I would have jumped up immediately and screamed! The character was arrested, what did you want the crew to do? Did she ring her call button? It does not state on there that she did. Why the h3ll did she not leave her seat? Again, noone should have to go through that, but what should the crew have done after the fact? Cut off his d1ck? Either she is stupid, or this is a set-up.

Wow, I have to check and find out who you are....besides an AAhole. The dumbaass did not take any action besides waving her hands...... Let's talk about people doing their jobs....LGA Fleet service has absolutely NO ROOM to talk, their laziness is known round the system, this from your "brothers" at other bases.

You are a FOOL. I work on an airplane. IF someone is in need of help they get it. IF they need help and they don't use the call button or shout loud enough for one of us to hear than other passengers will get our attention.

You can say what you will. You don't do my job. You might fly on an airplane but I would guarantee you that half of what goes on inflight you miss because you are paying attention to yourself. I'm telling you what I know from my experience as a flight attendant. IF she needed help that badly she would have gotten it. Period.

Hmmm. Wonder why you're defending the story so hard. Are you acquainted with the storyteller?

And a few crew members will never fly again.

Are you sure about that? If she didn't ring her f/a call button or ask for help...no harm, no foul. Remember if AA tries to fire or suspend the f/a's involved, they better have the proof or AA will face a HUGE GRIEVANCE and possibly a few wrongful termination suits.

A little FYI for you... It's vey hard to terminate a union member!

I presume the DNA evidence will implicate the accused.

If so, both the woman and the airline should go after him with every weapon.

This is mind-boggling folks.

That coward should be convicted as a rapist.

Yeah, someone on the plane should've noticed something before the climax.

But that is not the point. I do not believe F/As are sex police.

Well, yes, someone did notice, she did! What did she do? She rolled over in the other direction! This does not make sense to me....

Don't be disgusted yet. I have not even been trying. Some dumb ass puts a hot cup of coffee between her legs, burns her self and ses for $3 million. Some other dumb ass starts a pull string mower, gets a heart attack and sues the lawn mower manufacture. Another dumb ass jumps in front of a NY subway, to commit suicide, hurts him self and sues NYC. Another dumb ass goes to sleep on a plane, has some dude dump his load in her hair and she sues the carrier.

Give me a freaking break. Try blaming the culpable party. Unless you want AA to strap everyone down to their seat hand cuff them. Would you like everyone to be questioned during flight as to their intentions? How about a lie detector?

How the hell was anyone supposed to know what the physco was going to do till he did it? Please Oh wise and all knowing one, tell us. Share your wisdom so that we can do better.

AA will settle with that twit, her lawyer will get most of the cash and she will get a few bucks and that will be the end of it. Unfortunately due to idiots such as your self who do not understand the concept of guilt and responsibility or the idea that there are times when chit just happens, it is cheaper for AA to settle than to drag it through court.

OH yea, I almost for got. BITE ME!!
