WEST/EAST transition training classes

The new intergration classes sound like they could be very interesting. If you have gone let us know how it went. Are they blending both sides in each class or seperate.

How long are the classes taking? I would bet lots of Q & A considering the topic.

I think East goes to CLT and West (obviously) PHX. Sooo, no blending. I do know that West instructors are teaching in CLT and East instructors are teaching in PHX, so that's a positive......

The first West integration training class begins tomorrow January 6th. It should be an interesting next few months.

I completed 3 CBTs today, the first had about 175pages, the 2, 3rd each about 150pages. Have to say some very interesting changes. Wonder how long before they decide to revise these changes.

One that made me about laugh was in a planned emergency, FAs are to get their manuals and their Uniform jacket. As a uniform jacket is a sign of authority! And should be worn by the crew member to show that they are a crewmember. If I have limited time to prepare the cabin in an emergency, taking time to be in my uniform jacket is the last of my worries, time is precious and every minute counts. Whats next they going to ask that the Female FAs put on lipstick and check their makeup for the evacuation so that they look good on the TV camera that will be filming the event? Get real!

Who thinks of these training procedures? :huh:

And dont forgot to put all babys on the floor at the bulkhead in a blanket... To become a missle... :down: Get REAL that's the last thing a mother will naturaly want to do!!! PLEASE... :angry: GET REAL. B)

Why is it so difficult for people to understand that America West DID NOT buy US Airways (hence they did not acquire anyone) Several large corporations put up enough capital to, in essence, buy both companies and merge them together. America West did not have the capital to buy US Airways. Even Doug Parker has said that America West was bound for bankruptcy themselves before all this happened.

Nevertheless, and correct me if I'm wrong, don't all of our paychecks say US Airways now? We are all one, like it or not and it will never change because we don't matter. We are the little workerbees that make this whole thing work on a daily basis and put money in the pockets of the investors, Board of Directors, and uppper management. The best any of us can do is realize this and ban together for contracts that allow us to make a living out of this profession.

I agree with this so much... however, I have had many US Airways East Flight Attendants get on our west aircraft jumpseats and B*tch and moan about FCFS, and polices/prodecures. I agree we are all in this together.

I dont make the procedures just as you do not... Just some stupid rules I see...

Just like our overwing policy was stupid to me also. :blink:

However, I just feel that the safety of a child (in a car seat) should be more important than the money on a extra seat for another paying passenger.

When did money become more important than a human life... Its all I am saying. 😀

The CAR SEAT issue on planes really bother me. Just a personal beef I have...
