Local news here has reported two problems with US planes today from BTV. The first one from BTV to PHL had to divert to ALB due to smoke in cabin from deicing. The second from BTV to LGA had to return to BTV after takeoff due to crack in windshield. Is this something new for US - a problem since all of the layoffs. This was reported on the news in an area where there is very little reported on the airline news.
