First a cargo ship then a tanker.
I mean, like, these are floating islands.
Anyone have an idea?
😕

Named after the father and grandfather of Arizona Sen. John McCain, the 8,300 ton destroyer had finished patrolling the South China Sea and was heading to Singapore when it collided with the much larger 30,000-ton Alnic MC

Seven sailors were killed on June 17 when the USS Fitzgerald crashed into a Philippine merchant ship off the coast of Japan.

Before that, the USS Antietam, a guided-missile cruiser, ran aground on Jan. 31 while trying to anchor in Tokyo Bay, Japan.
And on May 7, the USS Lake Champlain was struck by a small fishing boat off the Korean Peninsula. It too is a guided-missile cruiser.

It's nothing that a few hundred billion in increased defense spending can't fix.

no doubt Xut you would think something that big would be hard to miss. It's not like they're hitting small fishing boats

I just want to know how our Navy can be blind sided by these floating cities.
I am not trying to judge or place blame, I just want to know how/why, with our current technology, this could happen.
Just thinking, maybe that Chinese technology (that we can not live without) is not really a good idea.
Just saying...

My thoughts are either embedded sabotage or some form of navigation weapons blinding our ships.

Hell, you can't tell me we roll at night with no radar operative?

Yes, the problem is when we outsource our intelligence.
But the 'consumer' doesn't care as long as it's cheap.
However, our Military and airlines, should!
JMHO, we should not have 'any' of our microprocessors "NOT" made in the US, but we do.
How stupid is that?
When I worked in Avionics, I was 'amazed' at how many countries manufactured our core processors.
Sub Contractors, contracting with sub contractors, with sub contractors.
When we give our core processor engineering specifications to 'who ever', does 'anyone' think this can not be reversed engineered`? JMHO, that is an ignorant assumption.
That's where we are today.
'EVERY' sensitive microprocessor that has an impact on our forces should be made here(US), under lock-down security to not divulge our secrets.
