Everyone has a different place that they are coming from, I work with many agents who would love to take the buyout package and put US behind them. This buyout package for alot of people would save them from going crazy. But there are many agents that need their job, so cast your vote 🙄

The proposal is "Outragious" !

It is ALL ABOUT OUTSOURCING THE JOBS!

It would never even be put to a vote...CWA already stated that...

Right to outsouce anywhere..anytime...

Hire part-timers to take full timers hours...

Work holidays at regular pay....(Most every employer in the country pays atleast time and a half...)...

We gave them 2 holidays to go from 10 to 8..now they want another 3 holidays from us to leave 5....

If they lay you off...say by adding outsouceing workers...they call you back at a lower pay, than they laid you off at...

If your sick a day, they want to pay you for 4 hours? What planet are these people from?

And thats just the tip of the iceberg....

It goes one..and on...and on..and on...

Forget it...They want to treat us like we are working in a Third World Country, here in the USA,,,,

I agree ... as much as I respect my senoir agents, if I would agree to this I might as well quit. I have gone from 11.48 to 9.12 and if this goes through I'd be at somewhere around $8. For that amount of money I could work for a travel agency M-F daylight with weekends off..... and make a commission for the intl sales that I make outside of the office for the people I know. It seems that the company will get what they want, the senior agents will be able to cut ties with US, and the union will keep their dues..... the ones that are left would suffer. My dept in intl is short staffed enough in PIT. 95 agents and 10 to retire at the end of the year, so 85 left. Working for 15 different airlines from 6 am till 2 am so 85 agents to cover 20 hours. If outsourcing is the answer, why not outsource the DM tix since they really dont generate any cash anyway.... UA already charges a $15 booking fee for awards, are we next? and where does the current $5 fee go to. This week I collected $620.00 worth of fees... thats more than I make in a week. AA gives details to their employees on how much is generated through their booking charges. And those who feel I have an easy job.... I invite you anytime to double jack with me.... Im sure I can make it happen. one award ticket from Phl to Bne will be sure to make your head spin.

everyone would love a buyout...but at what cost??

only the 320pilot would vote for this.....

I know that all of this is hard to take. But what are the alternatives, if any?

Considering what the original proposal looked like back in June or July compared to now, this isn't all that bad. Those of you that are still working stand to raise up in seniority, thus less vulnerable to layoff. Stop and think, the CWA (not it's members) thinks it is a bad deal because they stand to loose a lot of dues payers. The deal is very sweet if you are a RES agent. $20,000 to leave or a no-layoff clause if you stay. The only problem I see happening is that the ones that stay won't know what center will be closing until it happens.

Try to keep as much logic as you can when deciding. Keep emotions out of the decision.

I'm not ready to vote yet....but so far, I hate the outsourcing.
As I've stated earlier, I don't think the buyout package should even be
in the proposal. It divides the agents which is exactly what they are hoping for.

I don't like the loss of relocation benefits. I am sure they will try to close
one of the reservation offices after the new year.

When they talk about lifetime travel benefits on Usairways....what about
ID90s on the other carriers? Also, if the company is sold or consolidated,
I'm sure you would have nothing.

I would bet that about twenty percent of the agents want out and the buyout package would help them ... and the other group wants to continue working and are willing to sacrifice some but not as deep as this proposal goes.

I don't think it will pass on a vote.

I think they are banking on our group being greedy and self interested.
However, they do not know this group of fine employees. I am always appreciative of the tremendous integrity of everyone I work with.

The people around me are honest, kind, generous and as a group pretty disgusted by the actions of past and current management.

Everyone in PIT RES is lining up to sit on old Santa's lap and at the top of their wish list, this year, is for the company to CLOSE PIT RES ASAP. Hopefully there is really a Santa Claus.

From what we have been told, the lifetime travel is only good on US Airways and unless you are of retirement age you can't get interline passes. Also, travel benefits are not contractual, they are given to us from the company. So unless there is language stating something about any successor company, we would be at their mercy. I hope this all gets cleared up before it is put to a vote. 🙂

Pass benefits on other carriers are at their option. I dont think they would have incentive to give us benefits of life time ID90's. PR doesnt even give us any discounts for active employees. But it WOULD be nice to have...🙂

I agree Tailspin, there are no good alternatives and yes this proposal is much better then the last one for both employees wanting to leave and also employees staying. My question is if you are one of the ones voting no (that is if we get a vote) do you really think further on down the line you will get more? I disagree with outsourching as well but the company will get around it they allready have with the enhancments at .com. At .com when it was in the USA they could not even pull up our Pnrs, now our buddies in ElSalvadore can not only pull up our pnrs but help pax change them online. Do you think your CWA Reps will be there for you when when the proposal gets turned down and you end up making less then what they are offering now or if they end up closing both Res offices. Well that would be NO but I can guarantee you that you will still be paying your union dues

Life time flying benefits? Please! What is even after all this... US Airways either liquidated , merged or rose from the ashes to become another airline?

The outsourcing alone is disgusting. This is the continued fleecing of America and it's workers!

I cannot believe that many people actually voted YES that they would accept that proposal. That is amazing to me!!!!!
