Just let it go and try and move on man and I guarantee that your life will be so much better. I look it like this, G4 top scale fo pay line holder that can hold G2 capt today. Life is good 14yrs left to play and G4 capt last 6 or more. Now some are gonna be mad but that is not my problem to solve right?

Nobody really cares, to be honest.

Amen American brothers! You got Ray on your team now! And is he livin large! Back doored in from crappy america west to group 4 captain. Kind of like how we all ended up with the Kardashians.
Some guy merked his wife, his attorney buddy defends a murderer, he dies, his wife marries an Olympic dude who changes into something else- and we all end up with the big butt Kardashiams and Kaitlyn.

Ray is taking selfies in Madrid one day and having margaritas on the patio the next. Keepin' up!

Did you know that Ray can hold Group II Captain now! We care, just like we care about Kim's latest Botox injections. It's all good.

Btw, Ray, Kim and Kourtney all hate the haters. Except for Johnny Jurkov and Marc C. Doyal. They're cool.

Now that's funny

It could also go away with another inflight meltdown like the bizarre door incident......

I'd guess that to be not at all unlikely over time, but so long as that self-proclaimed "happy" person behaves himself in any cockpit I'm in I couldn't care less....a notion admittedly made easier by the pleasant thought of it being extremely unlikely I'll ever have to put up with him myself. In much the same way I never denied, nor disrespected AWA folks from/in the jump-seat (despite gross incivility when even once foolishly seeking a ride on "them") it's incumbent on all of us to behave as at least supposed professionals always.

Geez, this is just like the old days, it's great to be on the outside now just thought I'd check in, still stay in touch with all my buddies, did hear about the door debacle, we all had a good laugh about it, actually thought the boys were making it up at first, carry on kids!

You sound like one among the recently retired sir. I wish you the best in fine times and health and the good sense to enjoy it all. Coming back from a medical, my small handful of seriously lifetime friends barraged me with "gentle" barbs, the general gist of which were: "Have you completely lost whatever little is left of your alleged mind?"...."There are better things to do and you know it." "You certainly don't need the pay and life is short enough already to not waste time with needless BS." I honestly could offer no real defense other than..."Well, you're right, but I kinda' like it in some weird way still"...and here I am again for a few more months...Not saying there will be copious tears when it's over though, but there's a strange sense about simply "finishing" some tasks in life that one can't really explain, I suppose. All my best for your retirement time. Take care and fully enjoy. ;)

We were right. Almost 2 years since hitting the road, 924PS is still lurking here and on the APA forum. We knew all along that he wouldn't be able to stop, all his denials notwithstanding.

Remember the list of his glorious retirement activities that he couldn't wait to start on? A total mirage.

You just know that he's still stewing over his former hardworking F/Os' victory over the Nic. He would have loved to come on here and tell them that they should have listened to him and accepted permanent juniority so he could get a pay raise and stop commuting coast to coast.

The pilots were too smart for that. They gave him the Bronx cheer on the way out the door and rallied behind USAPA. His former F/Os are now Group II Captains or Group IV F/Os. He sits at home complaining about the unfairness of it all with his texting buddies Chowderhead Johnny Mac and T-Bone.

I'll always laughingly see him as just some wannabe-"Pilot"/would-be-"groupie" who was once-upon-a-time improperly indulged by one of his betters with escorted entry into the Miramar O'Club, given that his previous postings from long ago evidenced even that to apparently be a truly memorable event for him. In fairness I must confess to momentary misgivings my first time there, given that it was/is a "Squid" bar, after all...that last with no honest disrespect to any/all of you crazy bastiges that've lived on carriers and even landed on them. My own father was serious 30+ years deep blue water Navy...but it was he that strongly suggested: "Son, you want a runway at least 6,000' long that doesn't roll and pitch in the night, can't be sunk by enemy action and is exactly where you left it when you launched...and might even offer the company of local lovelies and at least a cold beer on your return." All I could say to that obvious wisdom was "Yes Sir!..Understood Sir!" No matter. N924ps is in all ways a proper candidate for PHX's "Army" of "Spartans"/"Dire Wolves"/Pixies/whatever. His ability to do any even social harm to our junior fellows is long passed now, so it remains merely to laugh and wish the poor fool well. After all: He'll "always have Miramar"/"Paris" to look back to, so no worries. ;)

P.S. Per "lurking"? I've no explanation for how truly pathetic it is for any retired type to wistfully hang around in any way, as if to pitifully plead for extended "relevance" and attention. I'm very much of a mind with NYCbusdriver who properly promised non-interference once retired, and if I'm ever seen intruding on employee discussions once personally gone....well, somebody please just shoot me. ;)

Yeah. Sitting home alone in San Diego, waiting by the phone. Maintaining a First Class Medical in case the age 70 is passed. It is already too late for the aged 67 year old. Poor 924. Imagining himself sailing his imaginary boat from Shelter Island or flying his imaginary airplane from Montgomery Field that he claimed to own online.

He never let on his back-stabbing posts on the web boards to the F/Os that gave date of hire to a MD80 F/O of the PSA buyout who eventually became a senior GIV captain after all PSA former bases, routes and aircraft were long gone. DOH was good enough for him, but not for his F/Os. TB did not have to endure the insults, shite and antics that his fellow East pilots had to from AWA AOL pilots did in the airports, at the hotels and in the jumpseat. He was one of the good guys to AWA pilots, flying safely home to SAN after all of our transcon routes were given to the west, former AWA.

924PS was also a big fan of Munn's badly misnamed "Pilots For Fairness" group. At its peak, there were about 3 members, one of which was Munn.

924PS would have gotten a nice pay raise out of it and an end to his coast to coast commute. Munn would have gotten the raise and a loyal voting bloc in Phoenix for his imaginary future as a union officer. Our F/Os would have gotten a permanent lockout from Group II left seats and Group IV right seats as newbies with up to 17 years less service were stapled in front of them forever.

They mocked Stephen Bradford's noble quest as a "fool's errand." The brilliant Lee Seham set forth a plan that ultimately had them eating their words.

Parker needs to man up and pay his mechanics. The airline depends on them in ways the typical management type has no idea about.
If Parker and a few mgt types spent a day out on the line, they might start to get it.
Good luck!
