By the time she landed in D.C., it had been 24 hours since Joan had left Anchorage. Now she's looking at the Delta tickets she has booked for later this year and having second thoughts.
 
The other day there was an AirBerlin Flight departing Miami to Berlin. Half hour into the flight, it headed back to the US. Short of landing back in Miami, it took a detour to Freeport, Bahamas. Funny thing, is that AB does not serve FPO or have any equipment there. Well, a few hours later, it departed Freeport, but then surprisingly headed south and landed in Punta Cana. It landed at 11 pm. The next day, the plane took off at 5 pm from Punta Cana to Berlin.

I don't know why they rerouted themselves like that but my guess is that maybe a part, needed for the transatlantic section, was flown into PUJ.

And you came to this conclusion using what facts and not your personal opinion ?

Worst of all air carriers? Delta Air Lines scoring an ultra low 56 on the index.

On Delta, The Atlantic notes:

"Complaints include additional costs for food, beverages and baggage fees. The airline collected more than $952 million in baggage fees from flyers in 2010, almost twice as much as any other airline carrier.

Since acquiring Northwest airlines in 2008, Delta's consumer satisfaction score has plunged. According to ACSI, a big merger in service companies usually have a negative impact on customer services in the short-term, because of organization issues. Delta's rating dropped another 6 points this year."
 
After knowing this that the plane is late for 24 Hours today.I will say that the passengers should wait for their flight.This is very boring thing & the airport officers should inform the passengers about this through msg.I hope they will take it seriously & be careful in future.
