Knowing the extent AMR's aircraft are cheated out of their maintenance, I refuse to fly on any airline - and American's maintenance is still the best of what's out there.

Aeroplanes are machines and chit happens eventually..

The Seattle bound flight is an 83 equiped with an aux center fuel tank.. The tank is located in a pressurized area of the mid cargo.. The bulkhead feedthru have a rubber diaphram that seals the fuel lines and affiliated wiring to the unpressurized area.. The rubber let go and the aeroplane could not maintain pressurization.. It was not a dump but a gradual oh chit...

No a big deal but it does happen.. :blink:
