Airbus now has more orders for AB320 than Boeing has for 737's. Not a surprise. However, this presents a problem for heavy 737 users such as Southwest and AA. If AB is that far ahead on firm orders, it makes the possibility of finding a substitute for the 737 any time soon difficult. Of course WN or AA could offer another airline a BIG pot of money to jump ahead in the line--assuming that they have a big pot of money in the bank.
Airbus has orders for 15,193 AB320 aircraft! I'm assuming that includes all variants--AB321, AB321XLR, etc.
