ALPA/USAPA topic of the week

By removing the PHL reps and placing that council into trusteeship Prater and ALPA National has guaranteed a USAPA victory on this property.

The fence sitters have seen the true colors of ALPA. I personally would like to thank ALPA for this gesture of truly helping the PHL based pilots and making them realize what ALPA is all about. This election is the first in a domino chain that will decimate a once proud union who stood for the profession and has morphed into a political joke. The founders of ALPA are spinning in their graves.

Indeed. It's a very sad business that an originally magnificent organization of fine men, truly dedicated to their fellows and the profession, has since degenerated into such a corrupt and sorry state, but; that's the harsh reality we face. We've no reasonable option now other than to dismiss what's now no more than a clique of self-obsessed, and overpaid little "politicians", who like to wear airline uniforms only as occasional costumes during personal appearances.

Absolutely right, My friends at Northwest want out of ALPA, and that was before this "hijack" of PHL. ALPA will be for the RJ pilots, they will have the majority and dictate to the remaining legacy carriers ( if any left), and when ALPA loses the Mid-Altantic law suit watch out for a major assessment.

Having seen the abortion produced here: I'll just bet that the Northwest people are all truly excited and enthusiastic about Alpa merger "policy" and "relative seniority" as well.

Questions:
1. If ALPA goes away, does the TA go away?
2. Can the company force LOA93 on the west pilots (Hemenway letter)?
3. Can the company use the Nic award (which they already accepted) if there is no TA and all pilots under the same contract?

Please see Allied Pilots Association for American Pilots and the Southwest Pilots Association web site for that info. Why you are there check out the pay rates and pension info. They are non alpa and have done quite well.

alpa pilots working with non alpa American and Southwest pilots click here

Alpa meets with these pilots frequently but nothing seems to rub off.

Do you think it is possible to achieve what they have without a unified pilot group?

Yes, when the majority is back in power. alpa is the very reason we were not unified and the very reason why the majority will soon become unified.

Of course there is that darn aero medical, FAA infraction protection, and representatives in Washington. I believe that will take about a half a day to organize.
