It's also bad news for people who have accumulated frequent flyer miles. After AMR Corporation, American's parent company, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in November, I wrote on this page that frequent flyer miles may be worth less.

Apparently the Forbes "author" can't read beyond that day's news.

Fewer employees doesn't mean fewer flights if you're simultaneously cranking up the productivity dial, throwing scope out the window, and in the midst of a fleet replacement strategy which all stands to increase the number of seats available for award redemptions.
