Yes and No. There is also a reason why airlines in Europe keep falling into bankruptcy or nationalization by the government or just plain fail. There are too many airlines--specifically too many LCC and ULCC airline all competing for the same market. Yes, the low prices appear to be good, but if the airline fails while you are in Europe, it's up to you to get back to Long Island.
