News just released that a corporate jet with twelve people on board ran off the runway and into a building.

No casualty reports yet.

Seems like we keep hearing of more and more of these accidents.

Some claim that these are the wave of the future and that these services are going to siphon off the business traveller from the airlines.


Well if so it will certainly maintain promotional opportunities.
 
Another reason in their popularity is that they don't experience the long security lines at the regular airports.

Unfortunately, people only care about safety AFTER an accident. Then and only then do they want to know who was flying the aircraft and who turned the wrench.
 
The aircraft was NOT a fractional aircraft, it belonged to a private operator. Lots of questions about the CL-600 series aircraft and icing. Already two crashes that have been caused, or indicated to have been caused by icing on the CL-600's wings. One was in England while the other was in Colorado recently.
