LavMan was permanently banned for making a direct threat, a threat which could cause serious injury or even death to a person. We clearly respect your petition, but how can we allow members threaten to harm one and other?
I totally agree, his posts spurred conversation and debate. But this latest post was clearly over the line. Perhaps if an apology was made to the member he threatened, and to others on this board for his actions, the ban could be lessened to a 45 day ban instead of a permanent ban. I am not sure, I would have to see the apology and discuss it with the moderators. If he wants, he could send it to [email protected] for review.
Otherwise, we acknowledge your petition, but need to protect the safety of our members.
