Plane Turned Around Shortly After Takeoff Comments overheard by flight attendants about a bomb aboard a Southwest Airlines flight that had just left Burbank Friday afternoon led the flight crew to turn the plane around shortly after takeoff. After landing, approximately 130 passengers were evacuated from the jet in an isolated area of the airport.
