I'm no business guru, but I do have an honest question. Has ANYTHING changed since AA filed for bankruptcy? As a flight attendant, I haven't seen any changes. Sure, a few in management (and I mean A FEW) were let go, but what else? The company seems to be sticking to its "corner stone strategy" and it is still going to accept a billion dollars worth of new aircraft. We all know they had billions in the bank when they filed, so what exactly was the purpose of filing if they aren't going to make any changes in the business plan?

Answer: the USAir forum on this board was getting overloaded w/ the same stale complaints, pilots' arguing and A320pilot re-posting links.

We needed new stuff to talk about.

Voila! The order was issued for AA to file Ch11.

The business plan is the POR and that takes affect after they exit bankruptcy. And you will see changes before that in regard to labor.

The purpose of filing was to cut your pay (and mine), increase your workload, reduce your benefits, and award bonusses to the executives for "saving" the company.
