IAM / US Airways Review Cost Savings Proposals

Representatives from the Grand Lodge, District 141 & 142 and the IAM’s airline financial specialist today met with US Airways representatives to continue discussing the IAM’s cost savings proposals that were presented to the company on August 31.

The purpose of the meeting was to allow IAM and US Airways financial experts to jointly study each item and the cost savings they would provide the airline. US Airways is continuing its analysis of our proposals.

Both parties are maintaining an open dialog, and we will advise if any further meetings occur.

Sincerely and fraternally,
William O'Driscoll
President-Directing
General Chairman
IAM DL 142

Randy Canale
President-Directing
General Chairman
IAM DL 141

Call it whatever you want...they are getting the last day company offers just like everyone else.

jack mama,

You could not be more far from the truth, no concessions were discussed, no proposals given or made in regard to opening of the CBA.

Randy Canale, William O'Driscoll, Bill Frieberger, Joe Adolnifi and Tom Makalvic were present. No concessions were mentioned.

 how come the media says eveveyone is talking but the IAM,THE TRUTH IS
NOT ONE UNION ON THE PROPERTY IS GIVING UP A DIME AS OF 9/10/04.
SO WHATS THE BIG DEAL ABOUT ALL THIS LAST MINUTE TALKING.ITS OVER LET THE COMPANY DECIDE IF THEY WANT TO FILE BK.THEY MAKE IT SOUND LIKE ITS THE UNIONS AND THE EMPLOYEES FAULT THAT THEY ARE HAVING ALL THESE PROBLEMS.ALL THESE ISSUES SHOULD HAVE BEEN SOLVED SINCE 1992.
