Which company has a more senior pilot group? Obviously, seniority integration will be a HUGE hurdle, but once completed, which pilot group would dominate the top half of the list?

I know none of this may never come to fruition.....just curious.

Most of the really senior Delta pilots got out with their partial lump sum pensions as early retirees before the PBGC took over.

There is no question that in terms of seniority USAirways East pilots are the most senior. Then probably Delta followed by America West.

The current most senior USAirways pilot was hired 1/13/1969
and if the Age 60 rule doesn't change soon, will retire at the end of January 2007.

The current most senior America West pilot was hired 6/1/1983 (when AW commenced operations) and will retire at the end of June 2007.

USAirways/America West pilots are currently in mediation/arbitration and the combined list won't be done til mid 2007.

Since DL and USAirways are represented by ALPA, the same process will occur if and when the airlines combine.

Hope this helps.
