Here's an interesting article on the merger of unions. Makes US wonder about the "alliance" between Teamsters and CWA for the customer service employees of both US WEST/EAST. Heard an interesting statement today from management..."nobody realizes, but this alliance that was voted on actually does embody the initial contract of the unions in place already." They stated that the unions are actually merged, and if no contract, then the other party takes on the contract of the one who has one. I'm no lawyer, so, I just wonder if I wasn't right all along regarding all of this. Despite the way the "agreement" reads. Anyway, found this article interesting to say the least!
