International Flight (pc components)

Hello,
I was wondering if it is possible to carry pc components on an international flight from Madrid Spain to Washington D.C. As far as I have seen there are no restrictions on taking pc components on planes, in this case it's a graphics card and a cpu for my computer. The price in America is significantly lower than here in Spain so I was thinking of buying it over there in dollars and then take it back. I'm afraid that they will not let me pass or make me ship it or I'll have to leave it behind.

Has anyone done this before or have any experience on this subject?

Thanks in advance.

P.S: sorry for my English

Circuit boards should be no problem. Power supplies or something dense might draw attention.

I've carried components in hand baggage without any problem, but they were easily displayed for security if asked. I'm not sure I'd want to put them in checked luggage.
