Told ya so......

And you're so concerned over Iraq?

Patraeus says 30,000 out of Iraq by summer..they'll be staging in Iran.

Pentagon planners have developed a list of up to 2,000 bombing targets in Iran, amid growing fears among serving officers that diplomatic efforts to slow Iran's nuclear weapons programme are doomed to fail.

Under the theory - which is gaining credence in Washington security circles - US action would provoke a major Iranian response, perhaps in the form of moves to cut off Gulf oil supplies, providing a trigger for air strikes against Iran's nuclear facilities and even its armed forces.

We're going in.....

Senior officials believe Mr Bush's inner circle has decided he does not want to leave office without first ensuring that Iran is not capable of developing a nuclear weapon.

The vice president is said to advocate the use of bunker-busting tactical nuclear weapons against Iran's nuclear sites. His allies dispute this, but Mr Cheney is understood to be lobbying for air strikes if sites can be identified where Revolutionary Guard units are training Shia militias.

My kind of guy...little Nukey never hurt anyone....

The source said: "When you go down there and see the body language, you can see that Cheney is still The Man. Condi pushed for diplomacy but she is no dove. If it becomes necessary she will be on board.

Somebody's got to do it.....who better than a right wing Christian??

Seriously.....Iran and nukes is a no no for the world. But is the world willing to get on board before its way late?

Even with support from France, I still think the Bush administration will screw it up:
French foreign minister says 'world should prepare for the worst' over Iranian nuclear crisis but stresses efforts to negotiate should be pursued 'right to the end'
Past history seems to indicate that Bush will want to move "right to the end" to tomorrow. And if Bush and Company decide to thrust up their middle fingers again, I wonder how the world will respond...especially given Dick "tactical nukes" Cheney is proposing that the United States not only hold the title of first to use a nuke in a defensive situation, but the first to use them in an OFFENSIVE manner.

For el chimpo's sake, he'd better hope this version of shock and awe goes a little better than the first.

Majority do not favor Ahmenijahd and his actions.

Diplomatic efforts will not work.

Maybe el chimpo could ask his bestest friend to the south, Mr. Vicente Fox for some support. You know, the President of Mexico, that lovable country to the south that sends us its illegals, whom el chimpo is such an admirer of. (good 'ol W. never met cheap Mexican labor he didn't like) Did you read where Mr. Fox basically bashed el chimpo in his new biography? Fox called W. "the cockiets guy i ever met", and bashed his "grade-level spanish". With friends like those, who needs more enemies el chimpo?

What Bush's general has to say:

...the world could live with a nuclear-armed regime in Tehran, a recently retired commander of U.S. forces in the Middle East said Monday.

John Abizaid, the retired Army general who headed Central Command for nearly four years, said he was confident that if Iran gained nuclear arms, the United States could deter it from using them.

The Iranians are aware, he said, that the United States has a far superior military capability.

I saw an interesting piece on CNN a few days ago.

In Iran there is a TV series on called "Zero Degree Turn". Apparently it is a very popular program and has a large viewing audience. The topic of the program is the holocaust. It centers around a man and a woman. The woman is jewish and the man is Iranian. They fall in love and … If you do a search there is quite a bit of material out there.

The implication seems to be that Ahmadinejad does not necessarily speak for Iran. Ali Khamenei who controls the nuclear development in Iran, commands the security branches in Iran and also controls the state run television approved this series and apparently Iran has spent quite a bit of money on this series.

One could make an argument that Ahmadinejad does not speak for the country. He is a figure head who is not very highly thought of.

Either way, it seems that there is a lot going on in Iran, more than we are being lead to believe by our intrepid leaders.
