First, a correction to yesterday's report on the week ending 7/7/06. I inadvertently got the gasoline prices instead of jet fuel prices - twice  , since I double checked for a typo after FWAAA mentioned how high Los Angeles jet was. Here are the correct spot prices for 7/7/06:

NY Harbor jet - $2.1208
Gulf Coast jet - $2.1020
Los Angeles jet - $2.1670

Here's the jet fuel data for the week ended 7/14/06....

Spot prices:

NY Harbor jet - $2.2562
Gulf Coast jet - $2.2312
Los Angeles jet - $2.2612
WTI Cushing crude - $76.80
World Average crude - $68.47
Bloomberg reports WTI Cushing at $72.00 as of noon today.

Platt's spot prices:

Europe & CIS - $2.2350
North America - $2.2330
Asia & Oceania - $2.1720
Middle East & Africa - $2.1380
Latin & Central America - $2.2560

Finally, the same chart moved here:

Still rather pricey, but then again, everything is more expensive here. Oddly enough, oil seems to be crashing (if you can call a drop to $73/bbl a "crash") this week despite the world factors that would argue for even higher prices. I'm still predicting $100/bbl oil (and $3/gal JetA) within a few weeks.
