JetBlue Jumps In With premium Offer For Spirit

Spirit shareholders have voiced their elections to move forward with the JB/Spirit hook up...

Spirit just keeps doing what it does best. Bringing out all the negative news about itself time and time again. Now the question is; Is JB prepared to fix the Spirit half of the company and bring them up to JetBlue's level of customer service and rankings? Not too sure they will be able to do so without replacing some of the employees needing to be replaced and there are a bunch of them that need to go. I'm almost wondering if the Spirit half won't hinder the JetBlue image in the future.

If Southwest could clean up the messes that AirTran left, I'm sure JetBlue is capable of cleaning up Spirit's.

The nice thing about Spirit is that they have such high turnover rates, the bad apples probably won't stick around.

If that turnover rate has anything to do with pay and or benefits, maybe if and when they get brought up to JetBlue's pay and bennies, that might slow it down a bit? Just thinking out loud. Southwest did, but also still cleaning up some.

People leave jobs because the pay and benefits stink. What you call “bad apples” I call fed up and disgruntled people.

Oh sure no one forced them to fill out the applications but that still doesn’t mean they’re going to be Happy, Peppy and Bursting with love.

And even more so since the people who fly on that Airline are the lowest form of Human sludge anyway and don’t deserve any common decency shown to them since they’re clueless how to behave in a civilized society in the first place. (Plenty of YouTube videos out there as proof)

Damn had to give you a like for once.

It now has taken double the length of time than originally expected by some and still no ruling has come out yet about the JB/Spirit hook up. I know, the holidays, I say no, they had 5 weeks, prior to Christmas to work on it. Maybe we'll hear some rumblings soon...

Anytime you see "subject to government approval", the absolute last things you should expect are speed, urgency or efficiency.

My limited experience dealing with government and much larger experience with corporate America is that major decision making pretty much shuts down on Thanksgiving and doesn't resume until the second week of January.

Isn't that the truth.
Looking forward to some positive movements coming in early 2023, now that we all had the long pause thru the holidays.
Have a safe and Happy New Year E...

Been quiet for a bit with the JB/Spirit merger/purchase. Looks like Spirit is expecting some news in the next 30 days or so.
Will be interesting to watch what happens from here.

It took them over a week to shoot down an unpowered balloon. Six or eight months to approve a merger shouldn't be surprising.

So now here comes the resistant specialist with all their opinions in the JB/Spirit merger;
