Jon Bon Jovi Tweets Photo Proving He's Not Dead

The Internet went into a frenzy Monday after a false report declared that the singer-turned-actor, who is on the big screen in "New Year's Eve," had suffered cardiac arrest and stopped breathing.

The singer-turned-actor tweeted a photo Monday from his band Bon Jovi's account showing that he is still very much alive after the Internet went into a frenzy following an erroneous report announcing his death.

I have to admit that it was a pretty good hoax as being from near that part of NJ it sounded totally plausible. Just enough detail to sound real, until we heard from the singer who also last time I looked owned a chunk of the Philadelphia Soul Arena League Football Team.

Jon Bon Jovi Still ‘Alive and Well’

Following rampant rumors of his demise, Jon Bon Jovi has set the record straight. He's still alive.

A spokesperson for the singer gave this statement to The Insider: "[Jon Bon Jovi is] alive and well and performing yet another charity gig in Red Bank, NJ."

The rock star even went the extra mile by having his picture taken while holding a hand-written sign that reads, "Heaven looks a lot like New Jersey." The note is dated Dec. 19, 2011.

The dailynewbloginternational was reportedly the first to spread the rumor of Jon Bon Jovi's fictional cardiac arrest, sending Twitter into frenzy. The subject became a top trending topic within hours.

The 49-year-old is currently starring in New Year's Eve, in theaters now.

Being from NJ there was just enough accurate information to make the story seem factual. Like a few Million others I got sucked in. There's a lesson here, just not sure what it is.
