So we know Shreveport is one of them.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the other 2 are purely to piss somebody off due to recent events,

So I'll venture that ILG is the 2nd.

As for the third. I'll say it's SWF. (New from CLT)

Now granted none of these would be entirely new stations in the system. USX previously served SHV and ILG. SWF currently has service to PHL.

SWF has JetBlue and Airtran service to several Florida cities and ATL. USX service to CLT wouldn't offer SWF passengers many new travel options.

I belive, OMA, DSM, BTR, FNT, GRR, SHV, SPF, BTV, ABQ, and CSG, have all been eliminated. This is fun.

ok ..someone else on another board spilled the beans so i guess it's ok to do so . i was told it was vps,gpt,and mlb. although that other person was told pfn ,vps,and,gpt. so it's between mlb and pfn. i am gonna go with mlb. vps, and gpt are solid.

Well neither of them would be "NEW" cities to the system, as all were previously served by Mainline or Express. MLB was the only pure Mainline station. PFN & VPS were part of the old Florida USX network that expanded all the way to MSY. Can't remember if GPT was Mainline, Express or a mix of both.

I'll go with MLB for $500 Alex. Anyway whatever happened to them connecting the dots with some of the midwest, east, and SAT and AUS to CLT and PHX. I thought that was going to happen like a year ago. I could surmise that OKC, ABQ, SAT, and AUS would do good with feed through CLT and MSY among others with feed through PHX. Needless to say IF MLB is coming back then that's some good news as that's the one I hear the most people asking about.

US Airways to start Key West service

US Airways announced Wednesday that it will start a weekly Charlotte-Key West, Fla., flight next month.

The seasonal service will run each Saturday from Feb. 16 through May 3, with passengers flying on a 76-seat Embraer 170 jet. The flight will depart Charlotte at 11:25 a.m. and arrive at 1:39 p.m. The return flight departs Key West at 3:04 p.m. and arrives at 5:05 p.m.

The Arizona-based US Airways has its largest hub in Charlotte, where the carrier operates more than 80 percent of the roughly 640 daily flights.

GPT would make a lot of sense. It is soooo expensive to fly in there - DL and NW serve that market. With the large amount of military personnel traveling in/around that area, it would make sense to fly that market. I know *a lot* of military people that fly either to MSY and drive to GPT or fly directly into GPT and pay the hefty fares. GPT is a nice, regional airport. Let's see: you have a large Air Force Base, a Navy base, a National Guard base and I believe there is also a Marine detachment there, too. With those Gov't fares, this should be a really lucrative market. Not to mention the casinos in Gulfport/Biloxi for the traveling public.

The Flight schedule search on usairways.com now recognizes GPT, VPS, and PFN (and not MLB) so I assume it's those 3. I know USX previosuly served PFN and VPS but only on B1900s to MCO/TPA and I don't believe USX ever severd GPT but I could be wrong. In any event, it's the first time any of the 3 will be connected to CLT. No idea of the when the service will start as the times don't yet appear on the website or thehub.

USX (Air Midwest) flew to MSY but was dropped when they closed up their MSY mini-hub, if you will. It never has service to CLT.

Yeah... really... Is there a reason why there isn't at least a PHL-AUS flight? It's the third largest city in the state and the 4th busiest airport.
