"Clear," came the crisp command from the cockpit of the vintage Tiger Moth at Oshawa Airport yesterday.
A small group of family members and reporters on the tarmac stepped back as Stan Miller, 79, dressed in his last RCAF flight suit, fired up a wartime deHavilland Tiger Moth at Oshawa airport yesterday.

That's really cool!!!

My dad is 79 also and his first flight was in a Tiger Moth in 1943. He became a Lancaster pilot and flew 37 ops during the war. He still has his log book from those days and I look through it every time I'm back home visiting.

He left the RCAF in '47 and didn't fly again until 1970 when he helped form a gliding club in the town where we lived. He was a very active member until he lost his medical in '91.

Unfortunately his health has continued to go downhill, but he still loves talking about flying.

It would be awesome to see him take a Tiger Moth up for a flight.

Thanks for sharing that.
