I live approximately 30 minutes drive from Newark Airport in NJ and planes pass over my house at frequent intervals. These planes all have about the same flight patterns as they're all headed towards Newark, but the past week I've noticed that they all are flying at a much higher altitude than before. They're not flying high enough to be going to a different airport, and the flight patterns are still the same, so:
My question is, what could account for the sudden change in altitude for planes flying into Newark? I don't think it's weather, because the weather in Jersey has been 80 degrees and sunny the past month.
Thanks for your help
