Anyone remembering today as US Airways assimilates American, how the Delta family sent the Borg cube back to PHX empty handed? I am. I think in many ways Doug Parker has wanted to buy a name to buy legitimacy for himself and US in the annals of airline history. He could not get Delta, so he has American. How Delta managed to come out of bankruptcy and not have to surrender to US is true legendary in airline history.
