Republik Flying Star Alliance Colors?

Saw in lga the other day the star alliance colors 170. :angry:

anyone know if theres any stipulations by the alliance about who can actually fly their logo/colors (ie just the actual participating carriers, not codeshare/contractors?)

have no idea, thats why i'm asking, seems odd group would sell the one plane made up like that almost right away :down:

disgusting isnt it? I dont know it is against Star Alliance rules, but I hope it is so BB can pay to repaint the plane.

that a/c was scheduled to be delivered to mda. of course it was deliverd to republic. it has been painted in star colors for a while already ,sitting in san jose dos campos in brazil. since it is flying for usairways xpress it is legal for it to be painted in star colors. just like the airwisconsin crj's are legal to be painted in the new us colors. and also the psa crj 700's are legal to be painted in star colors. granted they are wholly owned.
