Jet crashes south of Moscow; another missing

Updated: 8:11 p.m. ET Aug. 24, 2004MOSCOW - A Russian airliner crashed south of Moscow, and another passenger jet went missing about the same time after both took off from Moscow, the ITAR-Tass news agency reported Wednesday. There was no word on survivors. The agency also reported that witnesses said they saw an explosion before the Tula region crash.
 
This is very concerning. I'm not sure it's quite time to compare this to Sept. 11. Russia has had alot of terrorism related to Chechnya but it has not spilled over to the international arena. We clearly have to keep alert while this is sorted out.
 
Hmm sounds like stinger missles.. nice.. I hope the US Aviation industry has short run plans to arm American planes with anti stinger missle systems.. it's so easy to take a plane down with one, and stinger missles are easy to smuggle and move around. Terrorists suck.
