Tarantula escapes on Delta plane in Baltimore

An escaped tarantula in the cargo hold of a Delta plane delayed a flight from Baltimore to Atlanta Wednesday night, an airline spokesman said.

What was the tarantula doing in the cargo hold in the first place?  Those are well-known to be Emotional Support Animals.  It should have been with its owner in the passenger cabin.

Opened a bin to see a military attack dog was well on his way to getting out of his kennel. Probably the fastest I've ever closed a door back up...

Have also seen various creepy crawly type stuff come out of luggage from Africa...

That's a big spider.  Apparently the venom of this species is more potent/toxic than most tarantulas.
