U.S. Airways tweets graphic photo of nude woman to customers, apologizes

It always amazes me that people claim that the "tweet", or the "post", or the "email,' etc. was "taken down shortly thereafter," That's the real fallacy, and they never seem to understand it.  That tweet will NEVER come down.  EVER.  That tweet will be available to be viewed by anyone with an internet connection for as long as there is an internet, and probably for as long as the human race exists.

In terms of human history, the internet is eternal.  Whether that is good or bad, in balance, for the long term remains to be seen.  Humans have never before dealt with anything like it.

Our collective ability to manage is so feeble in comparison to our ability to invent.

"Our investigation has determined that the image was initially posted to our Twitter feed by another user," US Airways told the newspaper in a statement. "We captured the tweet to flag it as inappropriate. Unfortunately the image was inadvertently included in a response to a customer. We immediately realized the error and removed our tweet. We deeply regret the mistake and we are currently reviewing our processes to prevent such errors in the future."
