The best part of these agreements is that they will give me better options to burn all of my miles I have. Otherwise, they become more and more worthless as each day passes.

With all due respect, a codeshare agreement with an exisitng Star Alliance partner does not offer any additional benefits when it comes to redeeming miles. It does however offer one-stop shopping were you can have all flights to your final destination on a thru fare.

Now if US could only begin a code share with LOT Polish Airlines. A combined US Airways/ LOT Polish itin would really be something!

No, LX will place it's code on the US flight from PHL-ZRH.

Maybe this codeshare will allow US to maintain a more frequent schedule schedule to ZRH in the offseason. It was only 4X weekly in the winter, hardly an attractive option for the business traveler, but then again this is US we're talking about.
