Where To Stay At Lax?

Or just call the Marriott 1-800 number and identify yourself as an airline employee. I've had pretty good luck doing this. If you find yourself stranded with internet access, hop on priceline.com and bid $40 for a 3-star or $50 for a 4-star hotel near the airport. Hotels will negotiate, especially late in the afternoon and evening when they have rooms that night. But don't go through the 1-800 number to negotiate because their res agents can't do that. According to Peter Greenberg, in his new book about hotels, call the hotel directly and ask to speak to the manager or sales. If you call the hotel directly and ask for reservations, they put you through to the 1-800 number.

Also, try calling the crew hotel for RON's at LAX (which I won't post here for obvious reasons, but it is a pretty decent hotel) and say you are a UAIR employee. They will make you show your employee ID at checkin.

Best of luck.

The Holiday Inn used to give out employee rates and the shuttle to take you tothe airport is very efficient... also try hampton Inn.
