Oh, brother. Currency fluctuations alone won't allow for oil much under $31 at present exchange rates. And if the yuan gets unpegged from the dollar, it could get worse.
Its just wonderful that the White house is so on top of things. So quick to realize that high oil prices are not really good for the economy. I guess they feel they have raped the American public long enough now.
1. White House wants $25/bbl oil.
2. I just want world peace and for everyone to be happy.
Both should come true, don't you think?
Particularly, in light of the fact that when oil was $40/bbl and gas was "only" $1.75/gal, the chairman of ExxonMobil made the statement on a PBS interview show that "we will never see $1.50/gal gas again." That doesn't sound like the chairman of the world's largest oil company expects oil to drop to even $35/bbl, much less $25/bbl.
