I'm new here, so I'm not exactly sure if this is relevant, but I was wondering if anyone out there knows if SAS will eventually put blended winglets on their 736 fleet. I know Boeing is in the process of study as far as blended winglets on 736's go (Whether or not they are economical and what not). Does anyone have any more info on this?

Depends on how SAS configures the interior. The winglets work great for fuel economy, but they add weight to the BOW(basic operating weight)

Don't know much about the 600's, but the 800's with the blended wing and a cattle car config..(all economy seats) have issues on bumping up on the max ZFW (zero fuel weight)

In other words, the 800 with 188 seats and a blended wing only can only take about 180 pax due to weight restrictions. (Winter US Domestic Weights)
